The only son of English speedster Piccolo at stud in Australia, Helter Skelter suffered the same fate as many sires with the outbreak of Equine Influenza in 2007. The result being only 9 named foals from his first season, incredibly of 6 named foals he has produced 2 winners, Psychodelic (4 wins) & Mia China Doll (2 wins) and 2 place getters Hyena & Panic Press.

Each runner has been stamped with Helter Skelter characteristic blistering speed, which saw him win the Listed QTC Lightning Handicap, The Gold Coast Turf Club Bat Out Of Hell & culminating with the front running, runaway demolition of the field in the Magic Millions Sprint.

Helter Skelter’s toughness was highlighted by winning at 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6. His most recent promising Perth filly Mia China Doll won her first start at 1200 metres & followed up next start to score over 1300 metres in a quality 3yr old event at Belmont proving Helter Skelter’s ability to throw progeny to cope with distances beyond 1000 metres. WA Aquanita trainer Simon Miller said “Her work on Saturday morning was ridiculous, it was probably the quickest I’ve ever clocked one at Ascot”
Mia China Doll has been spelled and will be set for serious assignment’s in Perth on her return. Sadly Queensland trainer Ted Harden reports, 4 time winner Psychodelic seriously injured a shoulder in a sand roll mishap and had to be humanely euthanised.
